ABOUT YESTERDAYS FUTURE APPAREL

Yesterdays Future Apparel is a personal design practice built from a lifelong pull toward creating.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to anything that feels like art – not just how it looks, but how it makes you feel.

At school, nothing really held my attention in the way creating did. Art was the only place that made sense to me – the only place where I felt fully engaged.

Around the same time, I was watching my mum make her own clothes. I’d see her take simple fabric pieces and turn it into something with movement, shape, and presence.

That stayed with me.

I went on to study art, and eventually moved into fashion – where everything started to click.

Later, I studied Fashion Design and Technology at Arts University Bournemouth. What I loved most was that every stage felt creative – from the first idea to the final piece.

A piece of clothing isn’t just something you wear. It can change how you carry yourself, how you move, how you feel.

Something simple to one person can mean something entirely different to someone ese. That’s what art does – it creates feeling. And that’s what I aim to create through clothing.

I always knew I wanted to create on my own terms. Not because I don’t appreciate other designers – but because I wanted the freedom to explore my own ideas fully, without compromise.

here, I design what feels right to me. And the people who connect with it, find it.

I work only in black material because it holds space for interpretation.

Black can feel soft or strong.

Quiet or powerful.

Structured or fluid.

It doesn’t tell you how to feel – it allows you to decide.

Yesterdays Future Apparel is a reflection of my thoughts, my emotions, and how I want clothing to feel on the body.

It’s not about trends or seasons. It’s about creating pieces that hold presence – and allow the person wearing them to feel something real.

This is an ongoing process.

A personal one.

And it’s still evolving.
